Runway Launches Astra, a ChatGPT Creation Tool

To show what Astra can do, Runway posted a demo video tracing a full production pipeline that starts with nothing more than a single image of a product. From there, the team generated a style frame in Runway, brought that frame into Blender to build out the animation, and then used Seedance 2.5 to produce the final rendered video. The multi-step process highlights how AI video creators are increasingly stitching together different platforms rather than relying on one all-in-one tool. Runway handles the visual style, Blender provides the animation backbone, and Seedance 2.5 delivers the polished output, suggesting Astra is meant to fit into an existing workflow rather than replace it entirely.
