Meta Expands Muse Agent With Email and Video Calls

Meta is rolling out new capabilities for its Muse AI agent, including a dedicated email address, computer-use functions on the Mac app, and the ability to hold live video calls with the bot.

Meta is pushing fresh updates to Muse, the AI agent it introduced not long ago, giving the assistant new ways to act on your behalf and new ways for you to reach it. Chief among the changes is that Muse agents will now get their own email addresses, which they can use to carry out tasks and which users can also message directly to communicate with their agent outside of the standard chat window. The update also extends to Meta's Muse app for Mac, which is being given the ability to operate a user's computer rather than being limited to conversational responses. That shift suggests Meta wants Muse to function less like a chatbot and more like an assistant capable of taking actions across a device. Perhaps the most notable change is that Meta is adding video calling to Muse. Until now, the main way people interacted with the agent was through text-based chat, but Meta is preparing to let users speak with Muse face to face through a live video call feature. Taken together, the additions point to Meta moving quickly to broaden what Muse can do just after its debut, layering in new communication channels and expanded system access in rapid succession.
